Outcomes Report and Political Proposal

The outcomes report and the proposal for political decision makers – was handed over October 4th 2010 to Norbert Gorißen, Head of Division Strategic Aspects of International Cooperation in the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and October 5th also to Winfried Hermann, member of parliament for the German Green Party “Bündnis 90/ Die Grünen” and chairman of the Committee on Transport, Building and Urban Affairs.

The outcomes report is a summary of the 2010 WSES and includes the most important speaker input, all discussion outcomes, additional ideas, a conclusion and more.

The political proposal focuses on three main aspects of the summit namely sustainable economy including the stake-holder approach, the question of economic growth and innovation incentives. The second main aspect is Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and eco-friendly behaviour. In the following paragraph, the proposal focuses on knowledge and technology transfer as well as renewable energy.
