We are very proud to convey our support in hosting this year’s World Student Environmental Summit in Tübingen.

Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen is glad to host this special event which emphasizes Education for Sustainable Development and holds a great potential in achieving a multiplier effect in universities worldwide. In particular, we endorse the idea of establishing a network among future researchers and young responsible students. We hope to contribute to the mitigation of climate change by setting examples at our universities.

Until now, efforts have been made and accomplished to reduce our own university’s ecological footprint. Thanks to efforts made on part of our students, we intend to implement an eco management system, and we have already installed photovoltaics on top of the university’s largest cafeteria building.

We support our local organization team in hosting the 3rd World Student Environmental Summit and look forward to welcoming student delegates from all over the world for the WSES 2010 in Tübingen.”
